Developing a True High School National Duals Championship
The 5 yr project** was test piloted last year with great success, Bringing top teams from both Alabama & Tennessee to Dalton's NW Ga. Arena
THE VISION for 2017
The goal is to build the National High School Duals to a event allowing only ONE TEAM from each of the 48 Contiguous States. ...by 2017 the Championship is scheduled to have 24 Teams, culled from boarder wars between adjoining States, giving us the 24 that will be invited to Dalton.
This year we to hope begin with 8 top teams from the States within a 6 hour drive from the venue, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia & Kentucky. 2014 will be expanded to 12 teams, then 16, and finally 24. Each state may decide how to send it;s champion, or the team will be selected by the event committee if the state coaches association cannot choose. Internal state competitions to determine a choice may begin as early as 2014, and border wars will likely begin in 2015. We look forward to seeing your state represented. |
